So first thing's first. Technically L'oreal is not a brand, it's a company. In fact, L'oreal is the largest cosmetics company in the world.
And trust me, L'oreal is really LARGE. Apart from L'oreal Paris and L'oreal Paris Professional, it's signature brands, L'oreal owns a lot of cosmetic brands out there (we will get to that later)
so here are some facts about L'oreal
1. L'oreal's founder, Eugene Schueller, was the inventor of the synthetic hair dye
2. There are more than 20 brands out in the market that is under L'oreal.
3. L'oreal has always been condemned as they have been known to carry out animal testing.
And what are the brands under L'oreal anyway?
Here's a few examples that might ring a bell
1. L'oreal Paris
2. L'oreal Paris Professional
5. Redken 5th Avenue
7. Maybelline New York
9. Yves Saint Laurent
10. Shu Uemura
11. The Body Shop
13. Giorgio Armani
We might think that there are a lot of cosmetics company out there, but that is actually the brands. If we were to narrow them down to the number of companies, don't be surprised, but there actually might be less than 10 companies having their brands sold on the racks around you.
I used to eff-ing hate L'oreal
Jeng jeng jeng.
I may talk about it one day. But not now, so stay tuned to find out more :P
